One of my tasks these days is the creation of a bootable dvd that will image a machine with the current release image. This is possible because of Windows PE, which I don’t actually directly create, I use bart pe and UBCD4Win to create the basic boot environment. Norton Ghost is used to do the actual imaging. You may be wondering WHY I would use winpe over the ghost boot disks, and the answer is compatability. Just try and get an external usb dvd drive to be accessable after boot on multiple computers.
